AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): Reacting over the sharp attacks by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Chit Fund scams of Tripura under the CPI-M Govt, Tipura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said after Modi’s departure from Tripura, “About Chit fund scams, who is telling whom ? Tripura’s incharge of BJP himself is under various scams. Even against Prime Minister Narendra Modi there are charges of Financial Corruption when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. India has CBI and many other investigating agencies who can investigate, but no investigation was done against themâ€. “CBI has not investigated against them but the same leaders are talking against CPI-M, charging CPI-M with scams. But we want to ask till day why Lokayata bill has not been passed, through which against Prime Minister and President, High Officials investigation can be done ?", Bijan Dhar said.
We have implemented Lokpal Bill already in Tripura, but why at the Cnetral level Lokayata bill was not passed ? That means there are gaps in their Anti-Corruption move”, said Bijan Dhar.
Noteworthy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his one day visit in Tripura said, “Rose Valley Chit Fund has looted the poor peoples of Tripura for years, but the Sarkar here didn’t take any action. Who is guilty for it ? More than 14 lakh people, half of Tripura's population lost their hard earned money. Everyone guilty for stealing from the poor will be punished. Voters will teach them a lesson”.
Modi further asked 3 times public, 'Due to Rose Valley who has been profited ?" and public 3 times replied, "Manik Sarkar".
After PM’s departure, immediately CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar calling a press meet, reminded Tripura about Chit Fund and other financial irregularities charges against BJP.
