AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): Amidst tight security across Agartala, an unwanted clash was emerged among the state’s two major political rivals CPI-M and BJP at South Joynagar today.

In the clash 5 BJP activists were injured and hospitalized. However, nobody was critically injured according to the latest information. 

Huge numbers of security officials have been deployed at that area, following the incident.

Both BJP and CPI-M have blamed each-other for the incident.

According to locals, some CPI-M activists had joined BJP today and centering that event the area’s youths had come in major clash.

BJP alleged that an open attack was held upon the BJP activists during BJP's campaining. 

The situation is now under control.
