‘After Express Trains, Tripura to get Trans-Asian Railway Network to connect Agartala to Kolkata via Dhaka’ : Union Minister

AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): With another move of the Modi Govt under ‘Act East Policy’, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has announced in his two day long visit, that Tripura to be connected soon with Trans-Asian-Railway network. Addressing in a rally at Agartala, Rajnath Singh said, “Even though Tripura has been ruling under CPI-M Govt for long 25 years but the state govt has failed to develop the state's connectivity. State’s connectivity has been left far behind development, but Modi Govt gave Tripura Tripura Sundari Express, Rajdhani Express and soon Tripura will get Trans-Asian Railway Network and will get a train from Agartala to Kolkata via Dhaka. Rajnath Singh was addressing a rally at Jail road field after he completed his Vijaya-Ratha-Ratra across Agartala for 2 hours in the afternoon.

"Already 500 crores have been allocated for the smart city. After BJP Govt comes in power the roads will be surely changed. It will be a SMART City. Many developments will come in the coming days including Railway and Airways", said Rajnath Singh.

"I praise Tripura people's patience who have tolerated the left govt for long 25 years, even though Communists have been abandoned across the country", said Rajnath Singh.

The Home Minister further hit the CPI-M Govt on delaying of 4th pay commission, NIL industrialization, pathetic rural areas, lack of power connectivity and Chit Fund scams.
