AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): Tripura Congress Chief Birjit Sinha has brought a serious allegation against Ex-Congress Chief Minister Samir Barman, who have walked with BJP candidate of Bishagarh Nitai Chowdhury on yesterday after withdrawing nomination papers. The Congress Ex-Chief Minister was last year expelled from the party after he shared a dais Trinamool Congress at Astabol Stadium with the arrival of Mamata Banerjee. Talking to TIWN Birjit Sinha said, "Barman is simply doing everything for money. From nomination papers' submission to withdrawal all activities were money-centric".On the other side, Samir Barman has termed his action as 'Anti-Left' move. 15 days ahead of Tripura's crucial Assembly Election, Tripura's former Congress CM Samir Barman has walked with BJP after withdrawing nomination. Bishalgarh is a constitution of Minister Bhanu Lal Saha, who is winning MLA at there.
The 75 years old, Tripura's former Congress Chief Minister Samir Barman who had submitted nomination paper as an Independent candidate on January 31 from Bishalgarh constituency, has withdrawn nomination today.
After withdrawing nomination, the Ex-Congress leader has walked with BJP Bishalgarh candidate Nitai Chowdhury.
The Congress had expelled Samir Barman for his ant-party activities in the last year.
Samir Barma was the Chief Minister of Tripura from 19.2.92 to 10.3.93 as a member of the Indian National Congress.
Within his 1 year of Chief Ministry, the law and order was collapsed in Tripura so much that Central Govt had to announce President's rule.
In 1993 CPI-M came in power, when people mass-rejected the Congress party due to the collapsed law and order of Tripura under Samir Barman.
