Tripura BJP praises Modi-Govt after Union Budget's announcement : Arun Jaitley to announce Tripura BJP's Election Manifesto

AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): After the Union budget was tabled at the Parliament, the BJP in Tripura has termed the budget as 'historical', asserting it will definitely double the farmers' incomes. At the same time, BJP Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Tripura Election manifesto will be published by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley by February 11 or 12. "As 7th Pay Commission will be allocated by the Central Govt, so the party's promises if done by the Union Finance Minister, it will be more appropriate", said Sarma", said Himanta. Praising the budget 2018-19, State BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar said, "Under PM Modi, the Union Budget announced for this year is historical. In agriculture, the decision of MSP for crops will be 1.5 times more than the production cost, will surely double the farmers' incomes. Opening of rural-haats will tremendously help to boost Tripura's agro-based economy at the investment of Rs. 2000 crores. Special cares will be taken for Bamboo productions of the state which will definitely increase the revenue. Unfortunately, under Manik Sarkar the national bamboo mission could never utilize".

"Total Rs. 1290 crores will be invested in food processing including developing other sectors as Fishery. Kishan credit card will be given to Fishermen and shepherds also, which itself is historical", said Deodhar.

Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the Health Budget mostly claiming 60 crores people of 10 crores families will be under the health insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs for each families. 

Deodhar further said, "Tripura soon will get one Central Govt's medical College either in North Tripura or in South Tripura. In Education also massive development to come in Tripura".

"Schools to be connected by digital boards and Education system will be modernized. Under PMAY scheme, which was manipulated by the Left Govt here, will provide  houses to all poor people of Tripura", said Deodhar.

The BJP leader also criticized the ruling CPI-M govt for not utilizing the SMART City project's fund of Rs. 500 crores.

"In railway, total 17.50 lakh crores have been hiked in the budget. The UDAN project itself will develop Northeast's connectivity. Highways to be extended, including Tripura's 5 national highways. All markets to be connected by road with villages", added Deodhar.
