AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee has been acquitted in sexual-abusing case today.
Amarpur police had lodged a complaint against him in allegation of sexually abusing a minor on November 27, 2016.
The complaint was against expelled MLA Manoranjan Acharjee in allegation of sexually abusing a minor at Amarpur party office.
CPI-M had expelled the MLA of Amarpur Assembly Manoranjan Acharjee on charge of moral error.
Allegation was on 2016's Nov 27 and intentionally the ruling party's big heads hush up the matter and remain silent on that issue. Interestingly, the party has not given a chance to Acharjee to clarify his stand on the allegations leveled against him.
Although the Mother of a five and half year old girl has submitted separate written complaints to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and CPI-M party secretary Bijan Dhar before the bi-election, but the party remained silent over the issue.
