AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): With COVID-19 cases has taken a big jump in 1 day with 107, the total cases numbers raised to 423, with 173 people cured so far. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has expressed concerns about the situation. If social distances and guidelines are not properly followed, then the numbers may blast in multi-thousands further. With travel history holding people, the cases are in rise further. Chief Minister Biplab Deb visited various areas in two Districts-Gomati, Khowai and met the quarantined people from distant and also talked to the Doctors there. In late evening also, Chief Minister’s visit continued in various places. With 5 more persons have been tested COVID-19 positive in Tripura, total cases have raised up to 321.“Among the 444 samples tested for COVID-19 in Tripura, 5 people found Positive”, said CM in a tweet. Among the 5 new positive cases, 8 years old child is also counted. However, Tripura has been reported with no COVID-19 death yet.

CM also informed media that one BSF Commandant was transferred as per his knowledge after this incident. Quoting a report of a central expert team, Deb said the report submitted to the state government points at violation of social distancing and quarantine norms by the BSF that has led to the spread of the COVID-19 disease among the para-military personnel and their kins.
