BJP Govt delays its pre-poll promise of | AGARTALA, April 1 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt is delaying its pre-poll promise about CBI investigation against chit fund scamsters, even though chit fund was one of the major allegations brought by the opposition before election to unseat the 25 yrs long empowered CPI-M. Before the election, the present BJP Minister Ratan Lal Nath many times said, "There is no doubt that immediately BJP Govt will take action against Rose Valley and other chit fund scamsters once it comes in power. It's sure that the first action of the BJP Govt against chit funds will be to handover the cases to CBI". BJP Govt’s 7th Pay Commission nee | AGARTALA, April 1 (TIWN): For implementation of 7th Pay Commission CM conducted a review meeting with retired CS of Assam P P Varma along with other members of the committee on Saturday evening. In the meeting it was said, yearly total amount of Rs.1459.51 core fund is required, which would benefit more than 2 lakh employees and pensioners. BJP Govt’s decision would ask from central govt around 7,297.55 crores of fund in each 5 years. In this condition, CPI-M Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury said, “We also calculated the same, but on that time fund sanctioning from central was totally impossible. We also calculated 7th Pay Commission for implementation under the CPI-M Govt. We thought within 900 crores the 7th pay commission can be implemented but the calculation came with a huge figure of Rs. 1400 crores, which was impossible on that time". | 01-Apr-2018 |
