AGARTALA / DHARMANAGAR, Jan 19 (TIWN): Deputy Election Commissioner Sudeep Jain held a crucial meeting with North Tripura Dist Polling Officers today keeping the election ahead.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sriram Taranikanti was also accompanying the Election Commissioner.
At around 11 AM the commissioner reached at Dharmanagar and held meeting at the DM Office.
The Deputy Election commissioner Sudeep Jain is now in Tripura since yesterday.
Yesterday at Santibazar a meeting was held led by the commissioner.
At Agartala he visited Umakanta School and checked VVPAT machines and other arrangements. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sriram Taranikanti was also accompanying him.
Noteworthy, assembly elections in Tripura will be conducted on February 18, while people in Meghalaya and Nagaland will be voting on February 27. Counting of votes in all the three states in the north-east is on March 3.
