AGARTALA, August 24 (TIWN): Royal Tripura Foundation, an NGO founded and run by Pradyot Bikram Kishore Manikya Debbarma, current head of Tripura’s Manikya royal family, erstwhile monarchal rulers of the state observed a health camp and anti malaria sensitization campaign at Thalcherra in Longtravalley sub-division of Dhalai district to mark the birth anniversary of late Maharaj Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur.
The camp further sensitized villagers in local languages to raise awareness on future possibilities of similar disease outbreak and other endemic diseases. Social activist Dhiraj Debbarma, Manihar Debbarma, Joydami Tripura, Hollywood Chakma and medical students, internees joined the
said camp as volunteers.
Maharaj Pradyot Manikya also conveyed sincere thanks to all the people who donated mosquito nets, coils etc on behalf of the Royal Tripura Foundation and stated that this was perhaps the best way to celebrate the birthday of his Grandfather Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur.
