KAMALPUR, August 24 (TIWN): In a new-fangled initiative, State Bank of India, Kamalpur branch today held a discussion session on banking services at Kamalpur Government College.

As a part of the initiative, SBI has been organizing camps since 1 month to make the people aware of the facilities of bank loan.

SBI has been organizing camps in schools, colleges and Panchayats to make the common people, school and college students aware of the fact. Besides, the camps focused on the importance of opening bank account.

Also, the camps make the people understand the simple way to acquire financial literacy. Manager of SBI, Kamalpur branch Prabal Ranjan Deb, Krishnaram Debbarma, Nabendu Roy and Shyamal Das along with more than 500 students of the college remained present there in the discussion session.

 In the discussion session at college auditorium, Manager Prabal Ranjan Deb said, “The interested students should take the benefits of banking service”. Kamalpur College Principal Chhanda Bhattacharya admired the initiative of SBI. The Principal urged the students to take the benefits of banking facilities for their higher education and get stable. In the programme, a total of 160 students of Kamalpur College opened SBI account.
