AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): Following the murder of Gautam Sarkar East Police led by SP West said that nobody has been arrested in the murder case but the investigation is in progress.

Today early in the morning a dead body (male) was found lying in a drain with head injuries at Chittaranjan Road, Opposite to the Amway Office under East Agartala PS.

The dead body was identified as Goutam Sarkar (45) S/O Lt. Kanailal Sarkar of Dhaleswar, Road No. 3 under East Agartala PS by his relative Sanjoy Banik.

Police recovered the dead body and sent to the GBP Hospital for PM examination. In this connection a murder case has been registered against unknown miscreant at East Agartala PS on the complaint of Sanjoy Banik, S/O- Shri Satish Ch. Banik of Dhaleswar, Road No.3. Investigation is in progress.
