AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): CPI-M’s 25 years deprivation caused mass poverty among the working class in Tripura. With a major embarrassment for the ruling party, Harijan (cleaners of various offices) after failed to meet the Chief Minister frequently, they offered Pranams, Bhaktis to the Chief Minister today standing in front of his residence. CM was going to secretariat and will attend the cabinet meeting at there. Demanding to talk about Harijans in the cabinet meeting, they created the scene causing a huge embarrassment at Marx Engels Soroni.
Earlier, various times they wanted to meet Manik Sarkar but couldn't. Finally today folding their hands, they offered 'Bhaktis' to the Chief Minister. Folding hands they said, "We are standing here by folding hands, praying all Ministers and Chief Minister to regularize us".
"We hope that Chief Minister and his Ministers will look after their all employees. We will be obliged if they take decision of our regularization in the cabinet meeting”, CM added.
Earlier the Casual employees (Harijan) who are working in various departments under Tripura Govt have placed deputation to the Chief Minister and other Ministers, Directors of Health, demanding regularization.
In the deputation the casual employees raised demand of regularization under the departments, they working since many years.
Some of their demands were :
1. To regularize the irregular employees under various Central and State Govt Depts.
2. For every Harijan families to construct better homes,
3. To employee Harijan unemployed youths,
4. For house construction purpose 10 lakhs loan should be given to Harijan Families without interest.
5. To begin reservation for Harijans.
