SONAMURA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Tripura’s most terror sponsoring, smuggling zone area’s people have put objection against BSF’s strict observation and protested. In the middle BSF is unable to continue their duties smooths due to the various allegations are bringing by the locals and state administrations pressure via SDM.
CPI-M controlled Sonamura Jatrapur area’s people even though didn’t raise voice against BSF Officer Dipak Mandal’s killing by around 25 smugglers, whom police couldn’t arrest yet but they have brought allegation against the 24 X 7 on duty BSF jawans for their strict duties.
Allegation was raised that BSF is harassing the locals, with too much checking which is leads wastage of time and honour. Not only this, the locals had also various problems with BSF and their roles.
The agitators further said that SDM had confirmed them to sort out the issue.
However, naturally question remains why only at Sonamura such complains are raising by the locals day after day, the area which is India biggest corridor for cattle smuggling and Bangladeshi’s illegal intrusion.
A source said that after BSF officer Dipak Mandal's murder by cattle smugglers at Sonamura's Kalapania security has been tightened at that area, which is turning heavy upon the illegal activity habituated some locals of border area.
The BSF Officer’s murder took place not at the Indo-Bangla border, but it was done in much populated area controlled by Police of Sonamura. The incident took place in CM's constituency zone, very near to Dhanpur which is not controlled by BSF. Ganja production has become a free business here, without any control.
But till day Chief Minister has not condemned the incident.
Above half of the total cattle smugglings are done through Tripura’s Sonamura border. In 2015 also a BSF was killed at Akhaura border but the left front govt supported the smugglers only.
Even Bangladesh Govt has expressed concerned about increasing narcotic business via Tripura borders, which is spoiling the young generation of Bangladesh.
