AGARTALA, Nov 14 (TIWN): Tripura men have returned state on Tuesday from Bangladesh after suffering 13 years of jail in Moulobi Bazar jail.
Along with 3 Tripura men there are more 6 persons from Manipur, Assam but they will be received by their own states.
In 2004 all of them were found on the opposite side of Indian border, i.e., in Bangladesh. Bangladesh forces arrested them suspecting terrorists.
Total 10 years of jail was given to them, but as an additional punishment with 3 years jails for hiding actual identities, they were kept in Moulobi Bazar jail for 13 years long.
On Tuesday Govt of India's representatives have received them from Bangladesh. One Manipuri man also came with them but Tripura officials didn't receive him and returned him to Bangladesh and asked to contact Manipur Govt.
The 3 Tripura men who have returned are :
1. Amar Biswa Jamatia, S/O-Biswajit Jamatia of Malbasa ( at Bangladesh he uttered his fake name as Nayan Debbarma, S/O-Litchi Debbarma).
2. Arun Debbarma, S/O-Budhuram Debbarma of Teliamura (at Bangladesh he uttered his fake name as Sanjit Kr. Tripura, S/O- Subil Tripura).
3. Ranjan Debbarma, S/O-Renu Debbarma (at Bangladesh he uttered his fake name as Bitang Tripura, S/O-Renu Tripura).
While talking to state media, they said that they were not terrorists but by mistake entered Bangladesh border.
