SANTIRBAZAR, Nov 14 (TIWN): A mass 4 hour long road blockade was initiated by hundreds of tribal community women and Youthat Gardhang Daspara near Kalacherra under Manubazar outpost yesterday where local tribal people asserted serious allegations against police constable Biplab Kumar Debnath. According to sources police of Manubazar outpost conducted a raid at Daspara Kalacherra the day before yesterday night where constable Debnath found a tribal women selling intoxicating elements and arrested her red handed which led a vigorous incident yesterday 11 am where a huge number of TSR and Police Jawans deployed to control the situation , tear gas shells were also imposed. Local tribal youths and women gheraoed Kalacherra police outpost demanding to make the arrested women free and arrest Biplab Kumar Debnath alleging that he attempted to rape the women which somehow distracted following which he arrested her in absence of any lady police worker which is a punishable offence when police refused to take any action the road blockade was introduced.
Some local sources said the accused women is a history cheater indulged in liquor selling and other illegitimate kinds of worksand Biplab Debnath was also seen before with her. However, SP Ipper Manchak rushed to the location but no improvement was calculated due to which firing and Lathi Charge were induced to control large crowd gathered. Biplab Debnath was arrested depending upon the case registered against him but the statement of the victim is still not recorded. It is also known that IPFT had supervised the whole issue from internal sources but till writing the news the environment of Kalcherra is still under high temperature and more than 25 people are under observation of Hospitals at Santirbazar and Udaipur.
