AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): The high prices of vegetable items will be continued for atleast one month, businessmen of Agartala claimed.
"Before 1 month, local items will not be possible to sell as due to flood all are damaged', said a businessman.
"Customers are not buying items but what we should do ? Due to flood local items are damaged, dependent on Shillong, Bangladesh products", he added.
"Imported items are keeping the market alive", the seller said.
"Every items in Tripura has been hiked at 30 % after the flood. On the other side, Tripura Govt has demanded 80 crores of agricultural losses from the central govt, but is not monitoring the items leading mass confusion with the prices.
No vegetable is available below 80 - 100 rupees per kilo. But this condition to be continued for 1 month long.
