UDAIPUR, Nov 10 (TIWN): The Ld. J.M 1st Class Court No. 01 Udaipur, Gomati District has convicted 01 (One) accused person namely Sri Ratan Saha (43) S/O Sri Sunil Saha of Collage Tilla, Basantanagar PS Kakraban under Gomati District; U/S 323/341 IPC.

 On 19-11-2016, Kakraban PS Case No. 2016KKB089 U/S- 341/325/307 IPC, was registered on the basis of written complaint of Sri Narayan Ch. Banik S/O Lt. Brindaban Banik of Collage Tilla , Basantanagar PS Kakraban against the accused person namely Sri Ratan Saha (43) S/O Sri Sunil Saha  of Collage Tilla, Basantanagar PS Kakraban under Gomati District; The fact of the case in brief is that, on 18-11-2016at about 0800 hrs. the FIR named A/P Sri Ratan Saha (28) S/O Sri Sunil Saha of college Tilla (Basanta Nagar), PS- Kakraban wrongfully restrained the wife of complainant at college Tilla (Basanta Nagar), and assaulted her with a wooden lathi with a view to kill her As a result wife of the complainant became unconscious and immediately she was shifted to Kakraban PHC, from where she was referred to Tepania District Hospital Udaipur and further referred to G.B.P Hospital, Agartala for better treatment

During investigation on the weigh of evidence I.O of the case arrested the accused and forwarded him to the Ld. Court. On completion of investigation considering evidence charge sheet was filed by SI Ratan Chakraborty of Kakraban PS, I.O of the case; on 28-02-2017, against the accused person. Vide Kakraban PS Charge Sheet No. 16/2017 U/S-341/323/506 IPC.

  The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused person namely Sri Ratan Saha (43) is guilty U/S 323/341 IPC and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for a term of 07 (Seven) months for the commission of offence punishable U/S 323 IPC and to suffer simple imprisonment for a term of 01 ( One) month for the offence punishable U/S 341 IPC.
