AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWM): Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangha (BMS) has protested against the high charges of registrations for CNG vehicles in Tripura under the state Transport Dept.
Voicing against various misruling and harassments done to the drivers, a rally was conducted at Agartala, further placing a deputation the joint Transport Secretary.
Whereas for other states, Registration fees for converting vehicles into CNGs from petrol is Rs. 120 but in Tripura for 3 wheeler Rs. 3525 and for 4 wheeler Rs. 4525, which fueling mass anger among the auto drivers. Not only this, complaints about partiality while proving registrations, permits were also alleged by the BMS.
BMS Observer of Tripura, Assam Ashim Dutta said, "In case of demurrage auto rickshaws the permission should be given as fast as possible. Among earlier 59 and now 43 demurrage auto rickshaws some of them have been provided with permits but other rickshaws have not yet, which must be given fast by the Tripura Govt".
Complain was raised about limited number of GNG Stations in Tripura leading massive CNG crisis in state.
