AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Tripura Journalist Forum held a silent protest at Agartala with the 1 month of passing after Santanu's murder at Mandai.

The protest held at Swami Vivekananda Statdium for 1 hour long from 12.30 PM to 1.30 PM.

The Forum demanded faster competition of investigation and arrest of the culprits.

 Santnau was killed in a political clash's brutal attack at Mandai before 1 month. Resident of Jirania, the young journalist was associated with various electronic media who has been killed while covering IPFT and CPI-M clash at Mandai.

The barbaric murder has taken place on Wednesday afternoon when after getting informed about an ongoing tension on that hilly zone, Santanu rushed to Mandai to cover the incident.

But, while covering the event suddenly an attack was held upon him with sharp weapons (Da) and continuously the attackers were injuring him. However, CPI-M has claimed the murderers were none other than but IPFT activists. Section 144 has been implemented at Mandai.
