UDAIPUR, Oct 18 (TIWN): Around 20,000 Kg of 'peda' (a sweet food item is offered in Tripura Sundari Goddess at Udaipur) have been made by above 70 shopkeepers at Matabari.
Already from various parts of the country saints, devotees have started to gather at Matabari also known as Tripura Sundari Temple.
A shop-keeper said, "Every year we can not fulfill the demand of the devotees as lakhs of people gather eveyday during Diwali. Sill we are trying to make more and more 'peda' and since morning 3 AM we start works".
However it has been said that around 20,000 kilo of peda was stocked this year.
Tripura Sundari Temple is situated in the ancient Udaipur, about 55 km from Agartala, Tripura believed to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines in this part of the country.
During Diwali every year around 3 lakhs of people throng to Matabari during Diwali.
