Agartala, Aug 11 (TIWN): The All India General Secretary of CPI (M) Prakash Karat is likely to visit the state on the event of 35-long-year journey of Daily Desher Katha.
A programme is scheduled to be held on Aug 14, 4 pm at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan on the 35th anniversary of Daily Desher Katha. Prakash Karat will address the programme as Chief Guest. Besides, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will grace the programme with his esteemed presence as the second spokesperson.
Apart from this, a Rabindra Sanskriti Sandhya is scheduled to be held on Aug 13, 6 pm at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan. Sreya Guha Thakurata, Sudeshna Chanda, Smita Lohokar, Moumita Roy and Adhiraj Debbarma along with artists from Kalatirta and Nrityangan would participate in the programme.
It is worthy to mention here that Daily Desher Katha will felicitate the persons who had been engaged with it since 35 years.
