AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy on Monday has remembered Binoy Krishna Basu on his birth anniversary.
“One of the famous BINOY-BADAL-DINESH trio. Jai Hind”, Governor tweeted.
Basu who is known for Writers' Building attack on and also a revolutionary writer was born on 11 September 1908, in the village Rohitbhog in the Munshiganj District, now in Bangladesh. His father, Rebatimohan Basu was an engineer.
Binoy Krishna Basu or Binoy Basu or Binoy Bose (1908–1930) was a Bengali freedom fighter (against British rule) who is noted for launching an attack on the Secretariat Building - the Writers' Building in the Dalhousie square in Kolkata.
