AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Tripura BJP leader Santosh Saha has criticized the State Govt for not appointing any primary teachers since 1997 in Govt schools.
Addressing a press meet, Saha said, “Actually since 1997 there were no recruitment of primary teachers at all. Tripura Govt forced the higher qualified secondary teachers to work as primary teachers”.
“As a result a tension has generated among that section of teachers whether they are under elementary or secondary level”, said Saha.
However, according to the statement of BJP the elementary teachers need not to take any training.
BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha expressed his surprise against CPI-M Govt’s claim on ‘teachers trainings are not needed who were appointed before 2001….. was made cleared by MHRD with Tripura Govt’s pressure’.
Santosh Saha said, “As per RTE Act-2009 it was said clearly in 2010 that such rules will be mandatory only for them, who were appointed after 2000. Why state govt is spreading rumours ?”
The BJP men at last clearly mentioned that there is no need of any training for them who joined before 2001.
