AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Ration shop dealers called a press meet to inform that they are going to distribute fruits and sweets to the cancer patients.

The sweet distribution programme to be conducted at GB Hospital’s cancer-ward on 28 August.

This programme has been conducted with the initiatives of AMC on the 5^th yearly convention.

Every year on 15^th August similar programmes are held but this year due to flood the programme was delayed.

However, criticisms have raised, was it necessary to announce broadcast such activities via media ?

On the other side a blood donation camp was also conducted by AMC 32 No ward where AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha and CM Manik Sarkar remained present.
