AGARTALA, August 8 (TIWN): Barsha Mangal Utsav and death Anniversary of Poet Rabindranath Tagore was observed at Music College on Friday. The programme was inaugurated by Director of Health B. Palit. Today is KabiGuru Rabindranath Tagore’s death Anniversary. Every year on 8th of August this day is observed as Baishe Shraban. As a part of this a programme was organized at Music College.
Director of Health, B.Palit, Chairman of Pollution Control Board and Professor Mihir Deb, Professor-In-Charge of Music College were present in the programme. Professor Mihir Deb had planted a tree as a mark of this ensuing programme. This is followed by a cultural programme including dance of little childrens .Many other programs are also observed in the State for celebrating Baise Shraban.
