Paddy fields washed away in rain, farmers running under loss

AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): Incessant rain since Thursday came as a doom for farmers as reports of extensive damage to crops are pouring in from many parts of the state.
During the last couple of days rains and hailstorms have damaged the production of vital vegetables with the farmers keeps hand-head across the rural areas of the state like Maharani, Amarpur, Udaipur including other subdivisions.
The vital production like tomatoes, potatoes, watermelon cultivation and others have been damaged at large due to the rain and thunder storm.
