AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): On the third day of Agartala flood the death toll has increased at three on Sunday. After a 15 years boy was electrocuted to death, with another tragic incident one 11 years girl's dead body was recovered at Pratapgarh from river Howrah. Tension has gripped the whole area with the saddened incident. According to the eye witnesses, the 11 years girl Ria Dey had flown into water on last Friday when flood had hit the state's Western part. The family members immediately lodged an missing complaints following the incident but there was no attempt for rescue the girl led her to meet the tragic death in the river. Resentment has brewed among the locals alleging two children had together flown into the water, but the family had rescued one on the spot but another could not be. The helpless father had broken into tears while recovering her dead body from the river. After such a big incident only three police constables were seen on the spot and for recovering her body no fire brigade team had rushed.
The body was seen in the morning by local people with the water level had receded after a pause to the heavy showers since yesterday evening. Her body has been sent for post mortem.
More than 9000 flood victims have been reported from various relief camps of the state with maximum are from West Tripura. A record level rain has been experienced from Thursday late-night to Friday led above thousand families affected due to river bank's erosion.
However, the heavy rain has come to a pause with the water level has been receded across the Capital City giving a relief to the public.
Apart from life losses, massive damages were reported from various corners of the Capital Agartala. Houses were collapsed along with huge losses of crops experienced by the farmers.
A 22 years boy named Suman Sarkar has been flown with high waved flood water on Sunday evening. Suman Sarkar (22) resident of Ranir Barar's Bridhhanagar went to catch fishes from there but suddenly he was flown with the flood water.
