AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): Heavy rain and thunderstorm has hit Tripura since the morning. As per weather dept. there will be more showers till tomorrow with lightning and storms. The heavy thunderstorm with lightning to be continued till Saturday afternoon following a couple of days of monsoon.
According to the weather forecast of AccuWeather, "A couple of showers and a heavy thunderstorm; considerable cloudiness" to remain in the day time whereas in the afternoon it will be followed by " Considerable cloudiness with a heavy thunderstorm around".
As per skymetweather.com "A cyclonic circulation is seen over Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Kutch region.The cyclonic circulation over Southeast Arabian Sea off South Karnataka and North Kerala Coast persists. A trough is extending from North Madhya Pradesh up to Interior Tamil Nadu across Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema".
"Heavy to very heavy rains with one or two extremely heavy spells occurred over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, other Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and North Odisha. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells were observed over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Southeast Rajasthan, North Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Telangana, Chhattisgarh, parts of North Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, remaining parts of northeastern states and Gujarat witnessed light to moderate rains", the skymetweather.com said.
"Northeastern states, West Bengal and Sikkim may continue to receive heavy to very heavy rains. Moderate to heavy rains will occur over Bihar, Jharkhand, east and Central Uttar Pradesh, North Odisha, North Chhattisgarh and north and East Madhya Pradesh", said skymetweather.com.
