AGARTALA, Aug 7 (TIWN): On day 7, SSA teachers have withdrawn their hunger strike with the intervene of Governor Tathagata Roy.

A representative team had visited the teachers in the morning and after meeting the teachers decided to withdraw the strike.

Tripura University Ex-Vice Chancellor Aurnodoy Saha has given water to the SSA teachers.

With a massive faceloss for Tripura Govt, SSA teachers have sat in hunger strike demanding their regularization-notification on Aug-1.

For long 7 days the hunger strike went on and 26 teachers fall sick. 6 were hospitalized. However, with the intervene of Governor Tathagata Roy, who is in Kolkata right now the strike was withdrawn.
