AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): With an inhuman move, the state govt has stopped the salaries of the SSA teachers sat in hunger strike at Orient Chowmuhani.
The SSA teachers have strongly condemned about the step of the State Govt.
"We have many special leaves, that we never used but today when we have sat in protest to demand for our rights, the Govt has taken this inhuman decision", said SSA teachers.
"Many teachers want to join in our protest but school authorities have given them bundles of works so that they can't move", said SSA teacher Bastav Debbarma.
"In all states after 5 years of completion the teachers have been regularized as per MHRD guideline. For Tripura via RIT we have known that Rs. 5000 per month is cut from SSA teachers' salaries. From whom we will ask our money ? From shops ?? This is a protest for our rights and we have no political interest", said teachers.
Some teachers have become ill already and denied to take saline or to shift at the hospital.
