AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): After one day has been passed the Trinamool left MLAs couldn’t meet Amit Shah till now, said MLA Asish Saha to TIWN on Tuesday afternoon. “We will tell media once the meeting is done. Right now conversation and meeting on issues are going onâ€, said Saha over phone.
Sudip and his co-mates have left for Delhi in the evening. On Monday evening, the leaders who are are scheduled to meet the National BJP party president Amit Shah had left Agartala for Delhi. After meeting Shah, the leaders will come back to the state and join BJP amid a massive rally. Along with 5 MLAs (Dilip Sarkar is sick), youth leaders led by Sushanta Chowdhury, who is Sudip Barman’s right hand has left for Delhi. Before leaving for Delhi on Monday, Trinamool former youth leaders led by Sushanta Chowdhury, Viki Prasad told media that soon all are going to join BJP and in this regard the youth leaders are leaving for Delhi to join the MLAs there.
"After coming from Delhi, within few days we will join Bharatiya Janata Party and just want to make it a historical joining programme. So, how to gather a massive rally of youths on that joining day in this regard we have organized a meetin. With the changing political scenario of Tripura and respecting people's desire to change the govt we have decided to join in BJP", Sushanta said.
However, talking to Asish Saha in the evening he confirmed that no meeting till now has been done but it will be done soon.
Recently, replying a media question, Tripura BJP President Biplab Deb signaled that 7 MLAs will join within Aug-1st week.
"Don't worry within August 1st week this work will be done. Let's see, we will welcome even CPI-M leaders join. All are welcome in BJP like Nitish Kumar", Deb said. However, Biplab Deb also signaled for Ratan Lal Nath’s joining in the party.
