AGARTALA, Aug 1 (TIWN): Tension has erupted at Budhjung Nagar on Tuesday when local people have attacked on police and gheraoed Budhjung Nagar Police Station. The angry locals' attack upon police left some police personnel injured at there. Immediately around 250 TSR jawans and police have been deployed there, but when the attack was turning violent police controlled the situation with tear gas. Talking to Bodhjun Nagar police station official, she mentioned that police high officials including DIG, SP are on the spot and nothing can be said now about the actual cause of the incident and why such circumstances aroused. However, TIWN on the spot was complained by angry mobs that a couple yesterday went to TRS camp with TSR Rabindra Debbarma. But after coming at Rajarbag area there was a clash and later the wife has been missing. Asking police about that, they remained tightlipped and said, 'nothing can be said right now'.

However situation is fully under control and Section-144 has been implemented. Police also lathicharged the attackers after the angry mass were attacking with stones. 

Tension has gripped the whole area of Bodhjun Nagar.
