AGARTALA, August 3 (TIWN): In light of the first hearing on the case of 10,323 terminated teachers at the Supreme Court scheduled to be moved on Monday Aug 04, the Additional Secretary and Director of School Education Department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty departed for Delhi here today. Besides, Tripura Employees Co-ordination Committee (TECC) leaders Ashim Paul and Saibal Roy headed off for Delhi. Minister for School Education Department and Principal Secretary has departed by now. The Apex Court tomorrow will decide the acceptance of the case. According to intellectuals, the Supreme Court’s acceptance to the case tomorrow may put a stay order against the High Court’s verdict on the termination of 10,323 teachers.

Besides, there seems to happen something that may not be in favor of the terminations.

A jittering atmosphere prevailed among the terminated teachers. On the contrary, the state government is leaving no stones unturned to move the case in their favor. Eminent lawyer Gopal Singh will move the case in the Apex court in favor of the state government. Other lawyers would be assisting Gopal Singh.

Hearing on three cases of teachers’ appointment is scheduled to be moved on Monday. The three cases include the case of the state government and the rest two filed by the terminated teachers. The TECC filed the rest two cases. Now the question is which case out of the three would be accepted by the Apex court. All eyes are on the decision of Supreme Court.
