AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): 13 hours long demonstration of Tuesday has hit the ruling CPI-M in Tripura giving the shocks to the ruling party showing itself as a strong opposition party that was never seen in last 24 years; now larking over CPI-M’s minds threatening vote banks of 2018.
In the Congress era as the opposition since 2 decades, Tripura could not see such massive protests against the CM but now with the election coming near the protest roars have been increased more than expectation.
Calling IPFT's blockade at National Highway as illegal Tripura BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar said, "This protest is fully illegal and going without permission. How without any permission state's National Highway, Railway can be blocked like this"?
"Now the Govt's condition is like that neither it can not bear the pain nor it can express the truth. The pain is like that", said Deodhar.
This was first time in Tripura’s history that a Chief Minister was kept locked in his own residence; although later with Governor’s intervention the blockade was withdrawn.
