AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): When the 3rd day of the Assembly was to begin at Secretariat, Tripura Trinamool Chatra Parishad hit Secretariat premise with protest roars demanding Anuara's justice and blocked Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's car to enter 'until he gives answer of the protesters'. However, Manik Sarkar declined to face the protest and moved the vehicle and went back. As a result the last day of the Assembly was full of chaos as Chief Minister could not enter the Secretariat. Two allegations raised on this issue : 1) Why Chief Minister could not enter the Secretariat when everyone could enter ? 2) Why Chief Minister avoided to face the oppositions questions about Anuara when he is also the Home Minister of the state ? However, CPI-M MLAs raised issue before the speaker asking whereas TMCP's blocking CM's entrance was correct way of protest ? But immediately the oppositions protested saying why CM is avoiding such a sensitive issues and why students issue held outside is discussing inside the Assembly?
According to TMCP leaders, the party activities tried multiple times to talk with CM about Anuara's issue. When TMCP gheraod CM's house police attacked upon them and till day CM is silent about Anuara's murder case, and seeing police, CID is doing nothing to arrest the culprits such a protest was held.
"Our intention was not to stop CM to enter the Assembly, but to ask him certain questions", said one TMCP activist.
But Manik Sarkar to avoid the protest escaped from the spot and skipped the Assembly, which was called on a special purpose on GST. Various pending issues were waiting to be discussed by the CM, but as he skipped the Assembly, it has also been pointed out by oppositions as an 'Easy Escape'.
It's to be seen now, after this massive faceloss, whether CM give any statement about Anuara's murder case and police role in it.
All the TMCP activist have been arrested from Secretariat.
