AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): When quality education in Tripura is under doubt, giving another example of negligence a school was found opening 2 hours late everyday in state.

Prayekroy High School at Dharmanagar, under North Tripura is divided in 2 parts : one is primary section, the 2nd one is upper-primary.

However, the primary classes schedule is from morning 6 AM to 9.30 AM.

But maximum times teachers are opening school-gate at around 8 AM, keeping the students waiting for 2 hours in front of the gate.

Whenever the guardians ask them specific reason for late-opening of school, teachers give excuse of staff shortage, remote residence etc with the recent effects of 10,323 teachers jobs cancellation.

However, on Tuesday, the guardians calling media exposed the issue, but when media went there they found  the allegation fully true as school was closed even after 8 AM.
