AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): Modi's nationalism wave cornered Communists to such extent that Tripura CPI-M struggling to paint themselves as patriot Indians again. Counter attacking BJP for calling CPI-M as Anti-Nationalists, State CPI-M spokesman Goutam Das said, 'Infact we are much more Indians than BJP since pre-independence'.
'During independence war, BJP had no role to play and today they are calling themselves patriots?', said Goutam Das.
BJP brought allegation against CPI-M that in a rally at Pecharthal on Sunday, the party raised voice, 'Inquilab Zindabad, not Bharatmata Ki Joy'. BJP also displayed the video in the press meet held at 4 PM.
However, when media asked CPI-M at 5 PM about this at Melarmath, Goutam Das lost control of his anger saying, 'Communist is the 1st party in India raising voice for Independence in British rule'.
However CPI-M's anti-nationalism since India's independence is well documented in history books where CPI-M supported China in 1962 India-China war, called Indian freedom fighter Netaji as 'Tojos Dog', erven today CPI-M is more interested in Pakistan's well being rather than India.
