AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Keeping the World Environment Day-2017 on June 5, Tripura Pradesh Congress held cleanliness drive at Agartala, Ward No-20.

Reportedly in various other wards also similar programmes were conducted.

World Environment Day (WED) occurs on 5 June every year, is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our Environment.

Theme for the World Environment Day in the year 2016 was “No Tolerance for the Trade which is Illegal”.

The World Environment Day 2017 theme is "Join the race to make the world a better place".
