AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): In demand of diminishing water crisis and constant power cut problems, locals blocked Agartala Khowai road on Monday.

This unnoticed road blockade led heavy traffic jam on that NH-44.

Reportedly, they had 2 demands : one is to solve power cut problem and another is to diminish the water scarcity in their area. A major part of that area has no electricity at all, alleged a local. 

It's worthy to mention here that clean, safe drinking water is scarce in state but most of the rural people in hilly Tripura don't have access to it and power cut is a regular part of the common people; although in the main city the problem is little less.
