AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): After 12 days of celebration Agartala Book Fair ends on Wednesday night.
During the book fair the Umakanta School was closed and with the ending of Book Fair the students have joined the school on Thursday.
CM Manik Sarkar on Wednesday evening visited book fair stalls.
Reportedly a good sell of books was observed during this 12 day long book fair.
Publishers and book sellers from New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati besides Tripura had set up 121 stalls in the fair. For the first time no publishers and book sellers from Bangladesh were seen at the fair.
However, a chaos was reported from Agartala Book Fair when on February 14 one book named Kashmir, written by Sidhartha Guha Roy created controversy and the Govt was bound to ban the book to avoid more criticisms.
However, with this for another year book fair has been ended on Wednesday.
