SANTIRBAZAR, Feb 21 (TIWN): Sudarshan Bhagat union Minister GOI inaugurated Farmers fair and input distribution programme under TSP at BC Manu Krishi Bigyan Kendra. ‘Farmers’ Income Improvement Training Programme and Distribution of Farm Inputs’ were organized to address the slogan ‘Jai Krisan Jai Vigyan’ involving more than 200 tribal farmers. The entire programme was organized jointly by ICAR Research Complex at BC Manu.
Minister explained the need and importance of the programme for the farmers in this region. He emphasized to make the farmers more empowered and prosperous through utilizing scientific knowledge and using good quality livestock and poultry birds and he also emphasized the need for such type of training programme for the tribal farmers which encouraged the tribal farmers to undertake new technology in the field of animal husbandry to enhance the production of milk, meat and eggs and ensure food security in the state.
The distribution of various farming inputs was sponsored by Tribal Sub Plan of ICAR, Govt. of India. The event created huge enthusiasm among the farmers.
