KAILASHAHAR, Feb 5 (TIWN): Atleast 28 depositors had lost their money from UBI bank, Under Kailashahar Gouranagar Branch, among them 26 people already got back their invested money.
Depositors credited the police for proper inquiry and regular follow ups done to the case.
The depositors thanked the police officials through a programme.
Reportedly, the I/O of the case Ratan Rabi Das and O/C Subrata Chakraborty were felicitated in that programme.
According to police, a common agent Pralay Nath was receiving the money of the depositors since years. But instead of depositing the money he used to give them vogue slips.
The matter came to disclosed in the FY 2014-15 that they had lost their money and their account kept with zero balance.
