AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): CPI-M ruled Tripura's Law & Order marred into chaos as CBI chargesheeted corrupt DGP Nagaraj failing to lead effective policing across State. In heart of capital Agartala, TMC Bhawan at Jackson Gate was badly attacked by some goons, but nobody has any clue about the miscreants. Reportedly, all the windows made with heavy glasses were broken during night hours, infrastructure have collapsed there. The newly made Trinamool Bhawan is located just near to Ujjayanta Palace, opposite side of Tuslisbati School, but the horrifying attack on such a place was just unexpected. However, this is not the first time that the opposition parties are facing trouble in Tripura, but almost all the oppositions including Congress, BJP also face the same issues. Tripura BJP President Biplab Deb, Vice President Subal Bhowmik were various times attacked in state, although no strict action was taken after the cases lodged in police stations.
Thus, Tripura has become such a state where the Highly honoured Judiciaries are not left from local goons' attacks.‘Attack on Judges is dangerous for Democracy…’, it was said by the former Chief Justice of Tripura Dipak Gupta after few CPI-M goons had attacked Sabroom Magistrate during a strike on Sep 2, 2015. “I am shocked with this attack on Judicial system, also very upset after such an incident, took place with a Magistrate”, said Gupta on 5th Sept, when he visited Sabroom.
However, similar incident happened on the same date in 2016. Now it was done with the new Chief Justice T Vaiphei at Agartala before Tripura High Court, although the CPI-Ms did less this time.
However, Trinamool didn’t make any complain against anyone yet, but after the incident question is raising about the security of the Capital City ahead of New Year. If a prominent party office can be attacked in such a way, what can not be here during night hrs?
Why Chief Minister Manik Sarkar chosen a corrupt IPS officer Nagraj to lead State's police force remains as a mystery.
DGP K.Nagraj was chargesheeted by CBI for various corruptions in 2005, 2007 - apart from State vigilance investigations by Andhra Pradesh Govt during Nagraj's stint in Southern India.
