AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWNN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was named as a member of the reconstituted Inter State Council (ISC) and Standing Committee of the ISC after the Ministry released the new committee.
However 6 central ministers would be permanent members of the council, where PM Modi will be the Chairman. They will be Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Urban Development minister Venkaiya Naidu, Surface Transport minister Nitin Gadkari and Defense Minister Manohar Parikkar.
10 central ministers, mostly Minister of State (MoS), were included in the council as invited members. They include Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Minister for Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan, Law minister Ravishankar Prasad, Nirmala Sitaraman among others.
The Council, that traditionally involves all Chief Ministers of the country as members, had Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar as a key member as well & with a surprise Manik Sarkar was to be a member of the Standing Committee of the Inter State Council.
