AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): In a press conference held on Wednesday evening at Trinamool Bhawan when many state govt employees, deprived pensioners massively joined in Trinamool party, swearing for continuous protests against each and every deprivation are held in left front ruled Tripura, the issue of long awaiting 7th Pay Commission’s implementation raised. Deprived employees, pensioners led by TMC leader Sudip Barman during TIWN coverage on the spot said, “With the decade long deprivations to the govt employees held in Tripura has left the state govt employees half-paid in compare to the Central Govt employees ,with 42 % gap in DAâ€. TMC further asked for the clearance to the issue and sought govt’s clear declaration about 7th pay commission implementation. For the first time Tripura govt. in 2008 implemented Pay Review commission, whereas the employees were expecting the Pay-Commission’s implementation.
"But in the name of Pay review till day govt. employees have been deprived in Tripura”, Pensioners said, TIWN reported from TMC Bhawan.
“It took 9 years for grade pay’s introduction in Tripura. Out of 20 PSO for pensioners, Tripura has only 6 out of them which are given to a selective section of employees”, said Samar Roy at TMC Bhawan, who newly joined in TMC from Congress on Wednesday.
Sudip Barman said, “The central Govt allocation is very much transparent, then why the state govt is not paying full salary to its employees ? The allocated budget is going from salary head to non-salary head and sometimes surrendered. Whereas Central Govt employees will further benefited with 7th Pay Commission, but the state govt is keeping the employees under clouds and nothing is clearly told to the employees”.
The mentality of state govt is bad towards state govt employees is bad.
“From the same market items are purchasing by both the central govt employees and state govt employees where the central govt employees are leading a luxurious life, but the state govt employees’ agonies have no end”, said Barman.
It’s worthy to mention here that recently Bhanulal Saha has published his interview in national media, where it was much evident that Tripura govt can not implement pay commission due to fund crisis.
As a result hopes of the employees under Tripura Govt have melted into vapours.
