KAMALPUR, Oct 2 (TIWN): The United Bank of India Kamalpur branch remained to be the bank with the largest numbers of customers in the sub-divisions.
For years together, the branch had the numbers of customers and the customers also got an intimate relation and faith with the bank. With passing time the numbers of customers also increased. But, the minimum courtesy and service from the part of the bank decreased towards the customers.
In these days of festivals and almost throughout the year, the customers thronged in the branch for their needs. But, the bank authority provided two age old wooden benches for the customers to seat.
The arrangement remained scarce and hardly met the requirements. Moreover, when the other bank branches arranged for different modern facilities like air-conditioned seating arrangements in the sub-division, than why this branch would not arrange modernity remained the question.
Again, the female customers faced the most serious problem as the bank had no urinal points at least for the ladies. The ladies had no means but to knock the neighbouring house.
Moreover, the connectivity always remained a problem and the customers had to wait for hours for restoring the service. Other banks provided separate seating arrangements for senior citizens.
But this branch had no such arrangements and the senior citizens had to roam on the road or had to seat on the floor. And the bank branch also not kept any provisions for drinking water.
In this context, the customers raised questions about the attitude of the branch authority towards the customers and demanded that the authority should provide appropriate arrangements.
