AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Following directive from the High Court of Tripura, the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination Board (TJEEB) today said it would declare a Common Merit List (CML) for all the examinees.
Earlier, TJEEB used to declare separate merit list for UR, SC and ST categories. However, the High Court received a petition alleging that SC category student was deprived of their due share in the merit list.
Later, the TJEEB was asked to public a Common Merit List for all the examinees. Accordingly, the board has decided to public a Common Merit List comprising all categories students this time too.
“Of course, marking whether he/she is UR/SC or ST will be mentioned in the Common Merit List”, said S. Chakraborty, the president of TJEEB today.
The results of TJEEB are expected to be published in first week of next month well before the results of Higher Secondary results. As many as 4334 students appeared in the entrance examination this year.
