AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): After having one round of speech by Tripura Health Department heads, Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury and Principal Secretary of Health Dept. kicks off a rally from Rabindra Bhawan on Monday morning 10.30 am.

During the speech delivered Minister Badal Choudhuy before the rally in Rabindra Bhawan Room-2, he said that the World population day was started in the year 1989 by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He also mentioned that it was started for the interest of controlling global population, which became near about five billion at 11th of July in the year 1987.

However, he also said population should be increased as human resource. In Western society population is less, but being the 2nd highest population, India has the highest level of illiterate people, which increasing unemployment, poverty and unhealthy children.

This year the theme of World Population Day is based on---- make plan and do responsibility fully for family welfare.

Focus is also given on to avoid forced marriage, early motherhood and gender-based violence form the greatest barriers to girls' access to education. 

As  teenage girls around the world face enormous challenges and each year, 15 million girls are married before the age of 18 – which is roughly one every two seconds, so voice raised to bring the stability of Male-female gender too in the society, as said by Principal Secretary M Nagaraju.
