AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, PWD Minister Badal Choudhury, Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath inspected many under-construction works across Agartala City.
Among the visited spots there was Science City at Nimbag, Sports Complex Badharghat and few other places.
Agartala city has many half done projects including Flyover, various quarter-complexes where the work need to speed up.
To make Agartala City into a SMART City the works needs to be completed fast, before to start any other work, said sources.
It’s worthy to mention here that launching the execution of smart city project for 20 cities selected in the first round, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will set the plan rolling on June 25 in Pune.
The first lot of 20 smart cities will be linked on this occasion through video-conferencing by the Prime Minister. These cities have proposed a total investment of Rs 48,000 crore in area development and pan-city solutions.
Agartala’s name is at top 13 there.
